Give Yourself A Little Room to Breathe: Breathwork for Self-Care
We live in a world that moves fast. Even though at times we can feel drained because of how quickly life is moving, sometimes all we need is to take time for ourselves and catch our breath! The key to less stress and more joy is right under your nose. Join us for a full, guided breathwork session and learn easy breathing techniques that you can use anywhere, anytime.
Breathwork is a therapeutic, active-meditation practice that uses conscious, connected breathing techniques to restore balance to the stress response systems, calm an agitated mind, achieve inner peace, and improve health and endurance. Studies are showing that by changing our breathing patterns, we can improve every aspect of our lives. Some benefits of breathwork are:
- Relieves stress, anxiety, tension and depression.
- Boosts energy levels and stimulates circulation.
- Promotes feelings of joy, freedom and gratitude.
- Deepens meditation and expands awareness.
The breathwork session will be led by Audrey Cook, a licensed massage therapist and certified breathwork facilitator. Audrey has trained at the Healing Arts Center and the Power of Breath Institute. “I am passionate about helping you relieve physical, mental, and emotional stress and tension with breathwork. I believe that it is the quickest, easiest tool we can use to feel our best. Breath is life, if we breathe well, we live well.”
