TRE and Gong Bath Meditation Sunday, Dec. 9th 6-8:30 p.m. $40 or 2/$70
Would you like to experience decreased stress, less worry/anxiety, less muscle/neck/back pain, more energy and clarity, increased flexibility & circulation, and decreased symptoms of vicarious trauma? These are just a few of the benefits of TRE® Trauma & Tension Release Exercises and Gong Bath Meditation (a type of Sound Therapy). Susan Sanders and Dev Shabad Kaur are excited to present this relaxing somatic-based workshop to support those who regularly experience(d) high stress, vicarious trauma and burnout. The workshop is also open to anyone who identifies with the benefits, and wants to learn natural and effective self-care techniques.
TRE® Trauma & Tension Release Exercises is an innovative series of exercises that assist the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, tension and trauma by activating our bodies natural reset/reboot method. Once learned, the techniques can be used independently to experience ongoing benefits.

Gong Bath Meditation is a specific type of Sound Therapy, which is based on the understanding that all forms of matter – including our body’s cells – vibrate at different frequencies. Factors such as stress, depression and disease cause cells and organs within our bodies to vibrate at non-optimal frequencies. The therapeutic sounds speak to each unique individual, meeting them wherever they are on their life journey. During the gong meditation, all levels of your Being - physical, energetic, emotional, mental and spiritual - will benefit from the deep, healing resonance of the gong.
Please wear comfy non-constricting clothing and bring anything to increase your comfort during the meditation.
TRE® is a safe and effective stress release technique for most people. The TRE process should not be used as a substitute for trauma recovery procedures of a medical or psychological nature. Individuals who have physical or psychological/psychiatric conditions that require strict regulation, individuals with fragile psychological defenses, a complex history of trauma or restricting physical or medical limitations should consult their medical practitioner prior to performing these exercises.

We will explore how to move safely into and out of postures, how to modify poses to suit your body or adjust for injury, how to move through Sun Salutations, and how to move with the breath. We will also explore different breathing and mindfulness techniques.
If you are new to yoga, or just desire a refresher, this class is for you! Tickets available online or in studio.
Eyes Wide Shut A blindfolded practice Thursday, Jan. 24th 6-7:15 p.m. $20
Pratyahara~ Withdrawal of the senses
Join me for a Slow Flow class where we will move through our practice wearing a blindfold. Our eyesight is our most relied upon sense. Removing this sense provides a unique opportunity to observe, listen, and respond with heightened awareness to our other senses. This enhanced concentration brings much greater presence and mindfulness to your practice.
Please bring a blindfold of some sort (bandana, eye mask, ACE bandage) to class. If you become uncomfortable during practice, the blindfold can be removed. :)
THRESHOLD with Becky Vollmer of You Are Not Stuck Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019 1-4 p.m. $65
Threshold [thresh-ohld], noun: 1. any place of entering or beginning; 2. the starting point of an experience, event, or venture In each of our lives, we reach a place where something new and beautiful awaits — if only we can muster the courage to walk toward it. It’s the point of departure, the threshold. But standing between us and the lives we want is fear. Do I have what it takes to do this thing? Will I stumble and fall? Will I make a fool of myself, or hurt someone else in the process? Am I too old to start fresh? Shouldn’t I be content where I am? Do I even *deserve* what I desire? And if we make it past all the other doubtful questions, there’s this: How the hell do I begin? We advance down the road of freedom by remembering that “stuck” is a feeling, not a fact. The truth is that we all have choices, we just have to be brave enough to make them. In this three-hour workshop, we’ll breathe with intent to connect with our highest selves and deepest aspirations. We’ll bust through the fears that make change so intimidating, begin to feel the power that lies in our choices, and move through a series of poses designed to embolden and soothe the body and mind. This workshop isn’t just for experienced yogis (all postures can be modified for beginners); it’s for anyone with the desire to live the life they dream of instead of the life they feel stuck in. There will be portions of reflection and writing, so please bring a notebook and pen.
